The Woolder or Wooler stick, 1927.

Typewritten history of the Woolder stick, also know as the Wooler stick, written by Fred A. Jenks for the Plymouth Cordage Co. The stick was used to set up rigging on ships, as well as a weapon before and during the Boston Massacre. Also includes the published version of the same manuscript in the Plymouth Cordage Notes, v. 2, n. 12, 1927.

Ropemaking firm, Plymouth, Mass. Founded in 1824 by Bourne Spooner. A mill was opened in Welland, Ontario in 1905. In 1938 the firm purchased Consumers Cordage Company of Canada and in 1947 acquired Federal Fibre Mills of New Orleans.
